Kélonia releases another turtle

On thursday 30th of October 2008 at 11am, Kélonia released one of their captive green turtles Chelonia mydas named Lili. She was born 20 years ago on Tromelin. This young turtle today weighs 149 kg (c'était pas 152kg?) and measures 107cm. She has always lived in captivity and the aggressive behaviour toward her kins has motivated the specialists at Kélonia to release her into the wild. She was sponsored by a class of St Leu Primary School. She is equiped with a satellite tracking device so that her movement can be followed on a regular basis.
